Book Review | Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (spoiler free)

HELLO READERS,

I just finished fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and it was amazing and I have so much to talk about and if you haven't read this book then you are in the right place and if you have there will be a post up soon with spoilers but lets get in to this.

TITTLE: Fangirl

AUTHER: Rainbow Rowell

DATE READ: Noverber 30 2015 - August 20 2016

STAR RATING: 5 out of 5

GOODREAD SYNOPISE: A coming-of-age tale of fan fiction, family and first love. Cath is a Simon Snow fan.

Okay, the whole world is a Simon Snow fan...

But for Cath, being a fan is her life—and she’s really good at it. She and her twin sister, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow series when they were just kids; it’s what got them through their mother leaving.

Reading. Rereading. Hanging out in Simon Snow forums, writing Simon Snow fan fiction, dressing up like the characters for every movie premiere.

Cath’s sister has mostly grown away from fandom, but Cath can’t let go. She doesn’t want to.

Now that they’re going to college, Wren has told Cath she doesn’t want to be roommates. Cath is on her own, completely outside of her comfort zone. She’s got a surly roommate with a charming, always-around boyfriend, a fiction-writing professor who thinks fan fiction is the end of the civilized world, a handsome classmate who only wants to talk about words... And she can’t stop worrying about her dad, who’s loving and fragile and has never really been alone.

For Cath, the question is: Can she do this?

Can she make it without Wren holding her hand? Is she ready to start living her own life? Writing her own stories?

And does she even want to move on if it means leaving Simon Snow behind?

"but there's nothing more profound then creating something out of nothing"

The first thing I want to talk about is the writing I really loved the writing rainbow really makes me feel like I'm seating in the room watching it all happen.  Not only do I feel my own emotions about the characters and the things that they are going through but I also feel the emotions that the characters are feeling and I love that.  I think the last thing I can say about her writing is that it is like no others and I love it.

The next thing I want to talk about is the characters, I connected to all the characters in this book and felt sad or happy or mad when something happened to them.  Cath I connected with her the most I also wright fanfiction and spend most of my time in my room on my laptop and I understand her struggles with her sister I have two other sisters and most of the fights her and wren (her sister) have I have had with my sisters.  Levi I love him, he is so funny and different from any body else in the book or any body I have read about he always tried to include Cath and talk to her and be her friend and I loved that about him.  Then there is Reagan Caths room mate I love her she was always trying to invite Cath to party's and tried to help Cath get around campus and was always there for her.  Last but not lest there's wren I don't even want to get in to wren I just don't like her.

"Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow he said"

Now lets talk about the romance there isn't a lot of romance in this book of course there is a little bit but this book mosly focuses on caths struggles through life.  When there was romace I really liked it and I don't feel like it was rushed and it was not this big thing.

Now to wrap up this review this book was amazing and I couldn't stop reading it I recommend this book to every one and I hope you go pick it up right after reading this.

love Shaylee,
